"El poder de contarlo" es un corto documental impactante sobre las historias de varias mujeres latinx inmigrantes, quienes superaron relaciones abusivas, y que llenas de esperanza, siguen luchando por un mejor futuro para ellas y sus familias. Este documental local es de aproximadamente 28 minutos y contiene lenguaje gráfico sobre la violencia, lo cual puede que no sea apropiado para personas menores de 13 años de edad. El lenguaje hablado es español con subtítulos en inglés. Mira el corto abajo.
Puertas abren a las 6:15 y el documental de "El poder de contarlo" comenzará a las 6:30 pm, seguido por un panel que estará disponible para contestar preguntas y platicar sobre el documental y su impacto en la comunidad Latinx de Spokane.
Todos los donativos de este evento serán usados para apoyar la misión de MiA la cual es de apoyar a sobrevivientes de violencia doméstica y/o sexual, ayudándoles a alcanzar su máximo potencial y educando a nuestra comunidad desde una perspectiva latinx para eliminar la violencia intrafamiliar.
"The Power to Tell" is a powerful short documentary that follows the stories of various Latinx immigrant women, who overcame abusive relationships, and that filled with hope, continue to fight for a better future for them and their families. This local documentary is approximately 28 minutes long and contains graphic language about violence, which may not be appropriate for minors under 13 years of age. The spoken language is Spanish with subtitles in English. Scroll down to watch the trailer.
Doors open at 6:15 pm, the documentary, The Power to Tell, will begin at 6:30 pm and will be followed by a panel that will be available to answer questions and discuss the documentary and its impact on the Spokane Latinx community.All donations from this event will be used to support MiA's mission of supporting survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence, helping them reach their full potential and educating our community from a Latinx perspective to eliminate domestic violence.
Time: Doors open at 6:15pm. Program will begin at 6:30pm. (Las puertas abren a las 6:15pm. El programa empieza a las 6:30pm.)
